Manual Lymphatic Drainage Certification Level 5:
MLD for Sports & Scars

Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, often rhythmic type of bodywork developed in Europe and is growing in popularity in the United States. Several forms of lymphatic massage are used to enhance immune function, treat edema (fluid retention) and lymphedema and for esthetic applications.

Vodder-style practitioners are not only advanced MLD practitioners but skilled in clinical documentation demonstrating the “measurable difference” MLD makes through standardized measuring techniques required to work with this population. This course covers the professional measuring protocols, bandaging techniques and introduces learners to lymphosize exercises experienced in Clinics of Lymphology in Europe. Levels 1-3 are pre-requisites.

Highlights of the course:

  • Managing edema in sports injuries
  • MLD for scars and volume reduction
  • relief of common sports injury discomforts
  • lymph-pumping exercises
  • accurate measuring and recording
