Using Movement to Amplify the Results of Massage

In this course you will look at three of the most common client complaints; low back, neck pain, and shoulder tension. We will study and practice ways of using movement to facilitate manual therapy. You will then learn simple yet powerfully effective exercises to teach your clients on the massage table with minimal props or expense. These movements activate new muscle patterning and provide tools for your client to use independently continuing their progress between sessions.

16 hours seminar divided in 4 sections:

  1. Supporting the Nervous System to support change: Shoulder as it influences the Neck.
  2. Considering the Hips and Pelvis relative to Low Back issues.
  3. The relevance of the Trunk.
  4. Diagonals in the body: Oblique relationships.

Each section begins with a 30 minutes lecture followed by a 30 minute demo. Each section ends with a 30 minutes recap/problem solve. In each section you will able to learn how using Movements to facilitate massage work and Movements for clients to use actively.
